| Municipal Utilities The Elko Municipal Water Department provides: Top quality water to residents of Elko. We are continually planning for the future and expanding our water resource and deliver capabilities. The Elko Water Reclamation Facility:
Treats over 3.5 million gallons of sewage each day. The water is treated using biological processes, with the end result, effluent that is reused for irrigation. Reuse is our goal for all water treatment activities. Public Safety: A full service Fire Department, providing services to include:

Community Development Our Planning Department works to insure a well-planned community Working with the Elko Planning Commission and other City departments, the Planning Department works to create the roadmap necessary to insure that Elko will be a community in the future that offers efficient transportation, utility, recreation and other municipal services. The Elko Building Department is charged with building code enforcement
