The Planning Department assists property owners and developers with their building projects and provides information and assistance with respect to zoning, development and use regulations. It also administers State and Local regulations governing Planning and Development, as well as works with the Planning Commission, City Council and citizens in establishing long range objectives, goals and policies for the City.

Q:  How often does the Planning Commission meet?
A:   Regular meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month beginning at 6:30 p.m. 
Q:  Where are the Planning Commission meeting held?
A:   The meetings are held at City Hall, 1751 College Avenue, Elko, Nevada unless otherwise posted.
Q:   How can I become involved with the committees that are created for special projects?
A:    The Planning Department has a number of committees that are created for special interest  projects that involve community efforts in planning.  You may email your questions or requests to the above address,  call, fax or submit your request in person.
